How to Add Personalised Articles

Overview:

An article feed is the content source behind Article Cards in the Email Builder — the images, headlines, and summaries you can pull straight into a campaign without writing them yourself. This article explains what feeds are, where the content comes from, and how to get your own blog or website added.

What is an article feed?

There are two kinds of article feed available in your account:

  • Default feeds — ready-made content categories iRealty provides for every account, such as REA, so you always have relevant articles to choose from without any setup.
  • Personalised Feeds — a feed built from your own website or blog, so the articles you and your team are already publishing show up as options too.

Both types work the same way once they're set up: they're simply a source an Article Card can pull from.

Where you'll see your feed content:

Feed content appears inside an Article Card in the Email Builder, using the Choose function to select from your available feeds. They will be kept under Personalised feeds, when they are added. If you haven't used Article Cards before, see How To Add Articles Into Emails for the full walkthrough.

Adding your own blog as a Personalised Feed:

If you'd like your own website or blog articles available to choose from, we can add them as a Personalised Feed:

  1. Find your website or blog's RSS feed link (your web developer or website platform can usually provide this if you're not sure).
  2. Send the link to support@irealty.com.au.
  3. We'll add it to your account under the Personalised Feeds category, alongside the default categories.

Once it's added, your articles will appear as options the same way any default feed article does — just look for the Personalised Feeds category when using Choose on an Article Card.

Good to know:

When an article comes through a feed, iRealty automatically pulls the article's main image, headline, and a short summary so it's ready to use straight away. Occasionally a source website changes its formatting and an image doesn't come through cleanly — if you notice an article missing its image, let us know at support@irealty.com.au and we'll take a look.
