Overview:
Template ownership lets templates be assigned to individual agents for their own use without disrupting other agent's workflows.
What are Templates?
When an agent copies or creates a template, it's automatically assigned to them. This lets them design and refine it — adjusting styling, card sections, or layout — without affecting anyone else's copy.
Reassigning a template:
Templates can be moved between agents using the Actions button (right of the template row):
- Click Actions → Assign Owner.
- Select the agent to transfer the template to.
The template moves into that agent's name, and they gain full editing rights over it.
Why use it:
This is ideal for offices that want every agent sending a consistent template, while still allowing each agent (or team) to apply their own styling and branding. As a principal, you can distribute a standard template to your agents as a starting point, then let them personalise it — without touching anyone else's version.
If an agent is restricted to their own templates, this restriction applies here too: once a template is assigned to them, they can only see and edit the copy assigned to their name. This keeps templates isolated from changes made by other agents.
When Templates is ticked under a team's Share Access settings, agents within that team can both see and edit the templates assigned to other agents on the same team — not just view them.
Additional notes:
- Admins and users without the template restriction can view every template in the account and see who each one is assigned to.
- Templates can be reassigned at any time via Assign Owner.
- Templates can be renamed via the same Actions button.
