Overview:
There are two ways to add a property into iRealty: import it into the Property List, where it's saved to the account and reusable in any email, or create it directly inside a newsletter, where it exists only in that one email. This guide covers both methods and how a saved property is then added to an email.
Common questions this answers:
What's the difference between adding a property to my account and adding one straight into an email? See Property List import and Adding a property directly into a newsletter. Why can't I find a property I added to one email inside a different email? See Adding a property directly into a newsletter. Which fields are required when adding a property? See Property List import. Can a property I added manually get out of sync with my CRM? See Property List import. How do I edit or remove a property once it's saved? See Property List import.
Property List Import:
The Property List is where a property is saved to your account so it can be reused across any email you create. To add one, click the green + to the right of the "Properties" heading. This opens a form with five sections to add information into:
- Location and details — property location, type, price, and assigned agents.
- Title, description, and availability — title, description, date available, and any links (e.g. a secondary location listing or a video link).
- Features — bed, bath, car spaces, and additional information such as a pool.
- Inspection times — can be updated later by opening the property and clicking Edit.
- Images — upload property images, choose the feature image and floor plan, and reorder as needed.
Click Save once every section is complete. Fields marked with an asterisk — including the description — are required before you can move to the next section.
Note: A manually-added property does not sync back to your CRM. If the same property is later listed in your CRM, you'll end up with two separate records. Use manual entry only for properties genuinely not yet in your CRM — for example, off-market opportunities.
Once saved, the property can be edited, removed, or annotated with a note at any time by opening it and clicking Edit. It also becomes available to add to any email via the choose option on a property card.
Adding a property directly into a newsletter:
A property can also be added straight into an email without saving it to the Property List. Click Create on the property card in the email you're building. This opens the same property details form, including an optional link to another page where the property already appears and any video links. Click Add to place it in the property section.
Note: A property created this way exists only in the email it was created in. If that email is copied, the property copies with it — but it will not be available in any other email that wasn't copied from the original.
Key takeaway: Use the Property List when a property needs to be reused across multiple emails; create it directly in a newsletter when it's needed in that one email only.
